Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21, 1983) is a well-known American actor. She is most famously known for her role appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington from Ohio dropped out of high school, and relocating to Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. Although she was struggling financially, her 2001 debut was as Rachel's Room's principal character. In 2002 she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. She was the main character for two seasons and won an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace wanted to focus on film following her role as Tom Welling's character on The Fog, in 2005. She appeared as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) on Suburban Girl and the Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised Shannon's role in Lost for two additional episodes, including the series final. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. She is Faith an actress who acts as a muse to celebrities and attracts the attention from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She is a member of the Gyllenhaal family, she is the daughter and elder sister of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens, she began to work on small roles with her father. She also appeared in Donnie Darko with her twin brother. She then appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama), and Sherrybaby (606) Both of which garnered their Golden Globe Award nods. She appeared in numerous commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However the role she played in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). She was nominated in the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress due to her part in Crazy Heart, (2009). In the following years she was a part of comedies as well as dramatic movies: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012. In addition, she appeared as an Secret Service Agent in White House Down which was an action thriller from 2013, she was a musician in Frank (2014) as well as The lead in The Kindergarten Teacher, a film that debuted in the year the year 2018. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a writer and director in 2021, with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
